The 20th Annual Citizens National Bank/Adena Summer Volleyball Challenge will feature some of the state's top high school volleyball teams again this weekend. Four schools in the field were in the State Final Four last year, while eight of the teams were ranked in the state top 20 at some point last year.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic returns to the summer exhibition as the defending champ. They, along with host-Adena, Columbus Bishop Ready and Eastern Meigs were all in the State Final Four last fall.

Other teams playing this weekend include: Marion Pleasant, Shekinah Christian, Huntington, Eastern Pike, Unioto, Alexander, Chillicothe, Meigs, Logan Elm, North Adams and World Harvest Prep.

Teams will be divided into three pools, with the top five teams at the end of pool play advancing to the Gold Tournament. The following five are placed in the Silver Tournament, then the final five go to Bronze.

Pool play consists of each team playing within their respective pool in a 15-point-cap two set format.The tournaments at the end of the day are best two-out-of-three sets to 25 points, but if needed, set three is to 15 points. There is no cap in the single elimination tournament matches.

Pool play begins at 9am Saturday, with no admission charge for fans.
