LaVonne D. “Keaton” Hiles

LaVonne D. “Keaton” Hiles, 87, recently a resident of Arbors of London, OH passed away on Wednesday morning Feb 1st, 2012 at Madison County Hospital.

 

She was born on Aug 10th 1924, and grew up in New Holland, OH with seven siblings. She worked in many homes as a caregiver for many years and as a nurse’s aide at Madison County Hospital, while raising a family and residing in Derby, London and Sedalia areas. She moved in with her daughter after the death of her husband in 2007.

 

She was proceeded in death by her parents Goldie “Shaw” and Ernest Keaton, and beloved husband of 63 years Daniel Hiles of Sedalia, OH whom she met and fell in love with at the Fayette County Fair in 1943; sisters Mina & Mona Keaton of New Holland, brothers Bernard, Veryl , and Emmert  Keaton of New Holland, and Elvas (Jean) Keaton of Clairmore, OK; Great Great Granddaughter Sonia Zediaker of Mt Vernon, OH; brother-in-law Kenneth Hiles of Darbydale, OH; and son-in-law Pearl Champer of London, OH.

 

She is survived by her sister Gearolyne (Ken) Hiles of Darbydale, OH; sister-in-laws Mary and Dema Keaton all of New Holland, OH; 2 Children, Daughter, Vivian (Pearl) Champer of London, OH and Son, Danny (Nancy) Hiles of Apple Valley, CA; along with 7 Grandchildren, Lesa (Donnie) Dennison of London, OH; Darrell (Julia) Champer of Mt Sterling, OH; Laura (Scott) Swick and Teresa Hiles all of Mt Vernon, OH; Mike (Bridget) Simler of Columbus, OH; Jarrod Lucas of Apple Valley, CA; Jason Lucas of Agusta, GA; 14 Great Grandchildren Jamie (BJ) Parsons, Naval Station Norfolk, VA; Ashley (Bryan) Meade of London, OH; Tabitha (Andrae Kaufman) Dennison of London, OH; Jenna, Jack and Joshua Champer of Mt Sterling, OH; Shalynn Posey, Harlen Shelhorn, Kyle and Haelea Fawcett, Tage (Missy) Huhn, Kayla Schaade, Destin Thompson all of Mt Vernon, OH; and Aiden Daniel and Evan Simler of Columbus, OH; 5 Great Great Grandchildren Cerstin and Robert “RJ” Parsons of Norfolk, VA; Addison Meade and Talyn Kaufman both of London, OH; Samantha Huhn of Mt Vernon, OH and many other loving family and dear friends.

 

It was LaVonne’s wish to be cremated, however a viewing will be held at Summers Funeral Home in Washington CH, OH on Sunday Feb 5, 2012 from 2 – 4pm, immediately followed by a Memorial Service officiated by Rev Gordan Ell. The family will hold a private graveside interment following cremation at New Holland Cemetery.
